The D457 camera is built upon the same D450 optical module used in the D455 camera, but it incorporates a new D4 V5 vision processor card. It delivers the same long-range performance as the D455, while taking advantage of the secure GMSL/FAKRA connector and the IP65 protection rating.
The Gigabit Multimedia Serial Link (GMSL) is a point-to-point multigigabit connection specially designed for the automotive industry. It enables the transmission of multiple streams over a single cable, covering distances of up to 15 meters using a coaxial cable.
