NVIDIA Jetson Nano Module
The NVIDIA Jetson Nano module opens up new possibilities for edge computing and AI development.
Introduction to the NVIDIA Jetson Nano module
The NVIDIA Jetson Nano module is the ideal solution for professionals who want to learn about AI and robotics. Equipped with a 128-core graphics processor, this module’s computing performance allows you to process data from multiple high-resolution sensors, a necessity for AI systems.
The module is powered by the NVIDIA Maxwell™ GPU, with 4 GB of memory. It offers a unique combination: superior performance, power advantages and an extensive choice of I/Os. In addition, it provides up to 472 GFLOPS of accelerated computing and supports multiple sensors, for use in a variety of contexts while consuming as little as 5 V.
A module based on the NVIDIA software stack
The Jetson Nano is supported by the NVIDIA JetPack software stack, allowing you to create new projects using fast and efficient AI techniques.
The NVIDIA JetPack includes:
- A board support package (BSP)
- A Linux operating system
- Access to the NVIDIA CUDA-X, cuDNN and Tensor RTTM software libraries
This comprehensive software stack allows you to rapidly deploy AI on autonomous machines, reduces complexity and speeds up time to market. The same JetPack SDK is used across the entire NVIDIA Jetson range of products. And the software stack makes it easier for developers to get to grips with the processor.
Applications for the NVIDIA Jetson Nano module
Thanks to this module, developers, students and manufacturers can all now use AI frameworks and models, including for image classification, object detection and speech segmentation and processing. Popular AI platforms include TensorFlow, PyTorch and MxNet.
This makes Jetson Nano the ideal platform for developing mass-market AI systems: AIoT gateways, network video recorders (NVRs) and cameras, consumer robots and facial recognition systems.
In terms of accessories, you can combine it with the NVIDIA Jetson Nano passive heat sink and the Auvidea JN30D NVIDIA Jetson Nano carrier board.
