ZED 2i Depth Camera
The ZED 2i Depth Camera, replacing the ZED 2, comes with a new design, secure connectivity and new lens options. The ZED 2i by Stereolabs is an extremely powerful tool for all your vision-based robotics projects.
ZED 2i: the ultimate in spatial awareness
The ZED 2i Depth Camera’s IP66-rated aluminium enclosure hides some interesting new features:
- An intelligent wide-angle camera, which processes all visual information in 3D at an angle of 120°
- Lens selection (2.1 mm or 4 mm, depending on the required level of definition), with the possibility of adding a polarising filter for outdoor shooting
- A 9 degree of freedom IMU with an integrated barometer and magnetometer
- A secure USB 3.0 type-C cable with thumbscrew locking
- Multiple mounting options (on a stand or frame) for integrating the camera into your project, whether it’s a fixed device or mobile platform
The ZED 2i camera therefore offers a wide range of options for videos and guarantees high levels of device security, both indoors and out.
A software stack for developing 3D applications
Your ZED 2i stereo camera comes with various software tools designed to make it easier for you to work on vision-based 3D robotics applications using artificial intelligence:
- Reproduce human vision using stereo vision and neural networks, with a depth perception from 20 cm to 20 m
- Build the 3D environment of your exploration robot as it moves around using SLAM technology
- Detect and map the movement of objects and people, with skeleton tracking
