360 Degree Laser Scanner YDLIDAR G2
Need a small but efficient scanner for your autonomous mobile robot? Allow me to introduce YDLIDAR G2!
YDLIDAR G2: perfect laser vision
YDLIDAR G2 is a rotating laser range finder capable of 360° scanning, both clockwise and anticlockwise. Its brushless motor is equipped with a bearing and encoder disc, three high-quality components that give this range finder an astonishingly long life.
The baby brother of the G4 model, YDLIDAR G2 scans at an adaptive frequency of between 5 and 12 Hz. It has a range of 12 metres and a scanning rate of 6,000 times per second. You receive data by wireless transmission thanks to the OptoMagnetic technology.
A range finder you’ll enjoy using in all circumstances
YDLIDAR G2 includes all the drivers you need to use it directly on a Windows PC, Linux, Android and ROS. It saves considerable time because it requires no specific programming. Simply connect it using the USB cable supplied and begin configuration.
In terms of apps, the YDLIDAR G2 laser range finder will prove helpful in more ways than one, for example you can connect it to your mobile robot’s navigation system so that it can avoid obstacles or scan and map its environment. If you’re planning to design an autonomous robot vacuum cleaner, this very compact scanner would also be a perfect choice.
