Given its small size and light weight, the UST-20LX can be easily installed as a sensor for a mobile robot. And thanks to its many qualities, your creation will be able to get around to its heart’s content without risking bumping into anything it shouldn’t! The UST-20LX range finder sees everything for 20 m ahead and 270° around, and sees it quickly and accurately: its scan speed reaches 40 Hz, and yet the margin of error is no more than 40 mm. So for equivalent size and weight, and with the same protection rating, the UST-20LX offers 10 m extra vision in relation to its baby brother the USL-10LX! What’s more, the new generation of Hokuyo scanning laser range finders offers an Ethernet interface and uses an SCIP2.2 communication protocol. No data will escape you!
And offering such a fine performance doesn’t stop your UST-20LX Scanning Laser Range Finder from being a frugal eater: just 0.15 A (even slightly less) when the previous models drew more than twice that! As for the supply voltage, you’re free to choose between 12 and 24 Vdc.
