Hokuyo UST-10LX Scanning Laser Range Finder: The new creation from Hokuyo
Along with the UST-20LX, the UST-10LX is one of the latest generation of portable scanning laser range finders. With the UST-10LX Scanning Laser Range Finder, you have a compact, light, and yet extremely effective and accurate device. With a 40 Hz scanning frequency and an accuracy of ± 40 mm, this tiny device (just 70 mm high!) communicates its data via a 100BASE-TX Ethernet interface, using an SCIP 2.2 communication protocol. It’s also fully protected against dust, and very well protected against water splashes, with an IP65 housing for safe use outdoors.
Hokuyo UST-10LX Scanning Laser Range Finder: Advantages of the new model
What does this laser range finder have that the previous versions haven’t? Although much lighter and smaller, it has an improved protection rating and above all a greater scanning range – 10 m compared with 5.6 m for the previous models! The UST-10LX also consumes much less power: 0.15 A compared with 0.4 A for the URG-04LX. All in all less heavy, less bulky, more economical and more efficient: the UST-10LX Scanning Laser Range Finder will be extremely popular!
